Research and Technology
Information literacy, or the ability to find and use information effectively, is a key part of learning. It’s also exceptionally important in a world of high technology and a constant flow of new information. The school library is often the first place students get exposed to using different sources of information, from print to online, as well as to practice their skills of inquiry.
The library program at Nessacus Middle school promotes the progressive development of technology and research skills for the 21st century. The school curriculum equips students to acquire and critique information efficiently, share content effectively, and creatively apply their knowledge to new situations encountered within the academic program.
Students in Massachusetts have free access to electronic resources thanks to the Massachusetts Library System.
